and I were discussing the states, and how on earth an American can remember them all. (Just to let you know, not many Americans can tell you all 50 states. My Mom met an AMERICAN who thought Iowa was near California. Sad times, sad, sad times...)
ANyway, back in 5th grade I had this teacher who was all about memorizing stuff like the countries of all the continents, and the states on the map. So I can't list off the states, but if you give me an empty map... well, here, take a look. I can actually fill it out. The hardest two are Wyoming and Colorado. They look identical. (And they are next to each other.)
Oh, and there's a chef in the states. If you look, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Kentucky make a chef with a pan. Don't see it? Minnesota is the Chef's hat, Iowa is the chef's face/head, Missouri is the torso, Arkansas is the legs, Louisiana is the feet, Tennessee is the frying pan, and Kentucky is the Kentucky Fried Chicken. There was a US map painted on the playground at my elementary school, and kids would always point it out. It was great.
Oh and sorry for any spelling mistakes, I am notorious for that.
